Get the Stepok Image Lab-developed application Light Developer if you’re passionate about photography and you want a tool you can use to manage, view, and edit your ever-increasing collection of photos. This application puts a lot of useful functionality at your disposal.

The Light Developer installation file is only 2.7MB in size. The setup wizard that shows up when you run said file asks you to pick the installation directory and choose if you want a desktop shortcut or not. The application can be installed on top of 32 as well as 64-bit editions of Windows, on a machine that has at least 2GB of RAM.

The dark-themed interface Light Developer has to offer is quite good looking and quite easy to figure out. To the left there’s a navigation pane you can use to locate your images. Locate a folder with images, and the pane to the right displays a preview of those images. Select an image and some buttons in the upper part will light up – these are buttons for viewing the image, editing it, printing it, and batch processing it.

To view an image with the Light Developer application, just locate a folder where it is stored, then double click on the thumbnail preview. If there’s more than one image in the folder, click or use the arrow keys to switch from one image to another.

To edit an image with the Light Developer application, select it and click the Dev. It button. By default you will be presented with a “What’s wrong” video that aims to quickly fix whatever’s wrong with that image – exposure problems, noise, distortion, dull color, and so on. If you don’t want to edit the image via the “What’s wrong” wizard, close it. In the window that you’ll see, the editing functions are placed in a pane to the left, nicely sorted into categories: Transform, Exposure, Color, Enhancement, Advanced Matting.

You have a lengthy trial of 90 days to evaluate the functionality Light Developer has to offer.

Choose Light Developer and you will get an application with a very appealing interface and lots of useful image editing functionality.

Pros

Light Developer works with 32 and 64-bit editions of Windows. It features a good looking, dark-themed interface. Use Light Developer to view, manage and edit images. There’s a “What’s wrong” wizard that comes in handy.

Cons

Free to use; nag screen.
